Safe
Inspectors found that people felt safe and knew who to contact if they had concerns. Staff knew how to recognise signs of abuse, there were enough staff, and people received their medicines safely and on time. Staff wore gloves and aprons when supporting people to help prevent infection.
Effective
Inspectors found that people were supported to stay healthy and to access health care services when they needed them. People were supported to have choice and control of their lives. Staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible.
Caring
Inspectors found that people received kind and compassionate care. People and relatives said staff treated them with kindness. Inspectors saw friendly interactions during a care visit.
Responsive
Inspectors found that people received care that was responsive to their needs. People and relatives knew how to raise a complaint. Care records did not always record people's preferences about their interests, hobbies, religious needs and end of life wishes.
Well-led
Inspectors said the registered manager had not told CQC about a significant safeguarding matter, and that this needs to improve. Quality checks were not fully in place. This included gathering feedback from people, staff, relatives and professionals to help the service improve.
