About Enliva Homecare and
We are Enliva Homecare Reading and West Berkshire, and we support people in their own homes across Reading and the surrounding parts of West Berkshire. Our work happens in the places people already know best, their own kitchens, front rooms and gardens, and everything we do is shaped around keeping life there safe, comfortable and familiar. Much of our support is for older people who need a hand with washing and dressing, medication, meals or company through the day. We also visit younger adults, and we care for people living with dementia, mental health needs, a learning disability or autism, physical disability, and sight or hearing loss. Where someone is managing an eating disorder we work closely with them, their family and the health professionals involved so that mealtimes are handled calmly and consistently rather than becoming a daily battle. We try hard to keep the same faces coming through the door. Familiarity makes personal care easier to accept, and it means our carers notice quickly when something is not quite right, whether that is a change in appetite, a sore that needs attention or simply a low mood that has lasted too long. Care plans are written with the person rather than handed to them, and we revisit them when circumstances change instead of waiting for a review date. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
