We are T and G Homecare, based in Bedworth and supporting people in their own homes across Warwickshire. Our work is for people who need help with daily life but have no wish to leave a home they know well. We support people living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities, people with sight or hearing loss and younger adults. A visit may involve help to wash and dress, support with medication, preparing meals, assistance with mobility and moving safely about the home, light household tasks, or company and support to get out to appointments and to see people. Some clients want a single short call each day and others need support several times over. We assess with the person and anyone they want involved, agree plainly what is needed, write it down and review it when circumstances change. Keeping the same carers with the same clients matters a great deal, and it matters most for people living with dementia, where a familiar face at the door does more good than any explanation. Our carers are trained for the needs of the people they visit and are expected to report concerns promptly. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are registered with and regulated by them, and we are building the care planning, training and oversight that a good rating properly requires.
