About Premier Care - Specialised Services
Premier Care provides specialised support to people in their own homes across Manchester and Trafford. Our particular focus is supporting adults who live with mental health conditions, and we work with people whose needs are often too complex for a standard care arrangement. Support in this field only works when it is built on a relationship. A carer who knows somebody well can tell when a quiet day is just a quiet day and when it is the beginning of something more serious, and that judgement cannot be written into a rota. So we take real trouble over who we send to whom, we keep the team around each person small, and we give our staff the training and supervision that this work honestly requires. For others it is about structure and encouragement, getting out of the house, staying in touch with family, holding on to work or study, and keeping hold of progress that has taken a long time to achieve. For some it is about being there consistently through a difficult stretch. We work alongside community mental health teams, social workers and GPs rather than separately from them, and we raise concerns early rather than waiting for a crisis.
