About Mather Care
Mather Care is a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across Trafford and the surrounding parts of Manchester. Our work is to help people carry on living where they want to live, with just as much support as they need. Home care comes down to the details, so that is where we start. Before any visits begin we sit down with the person, and their family if they would like that, and agree what help is genuinely wanted, at what times and in what way. That becomes a written plan in plain language which our carers follow and which we change when circumstances change rather than leaving it filed away. Visits can cover personal care, help with medication, preparing meals, household tasks, shopping, getting to appointments and simply spending time with someone. Some people want a short call each morning. Others need support several times a day. Continuity is something we protect. We keep the team around each person small, because a familiar carer at a predictable hour is worth far more than an efficient rota, and because carers who know someone notice when things are different. Our staff are trained for the needs they will meet and properly supervised. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission.
