About Verve Homecare
Verve Homecare supports people in their own homes across Tower Hamlets and the wider London area. The range of people we work with is wide. Older people needing help with personal care, medication or meals. People living with dementia. Autistic adults and adults with a learning disability. People managing mental health conditions, including eating disorders. People with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Younger adults building independence. We are clear with ourselves that these are different kinds of work and that treating them as one would be a way of doing all of them badly. So we plan each package properly. The first assessment takes as long as it takes, with the person and whoever they want present, and we ask the questions that referral forms never get to. Where someone is living with an eating disorder, we take particular care over how support around food and mealtimes is offered, because the manner of it can help or do real harm. We keep consistent carers with the same people wherever the rota allows and we train staff for the specific needs they will meet. Senior staff are contactable during visits when something needs a proper decision. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
