About Supporting Care
Supporting Care is a home care agency working in Tower Hamlets and the surrounding parts of London. We provide care in people's own homes, from short daily visits to fuller packages of support. Tower Hamlets is a place of many languages, faiths and family arrangements, and care that ignores that is not really care. We take time to understand how a household works, what food matters, when prayer happens, who in the family should be spoken to and about what. Matching a carer well is often the single most useful thing we do. We support older people, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. Younger adults are a significant part of our work, and their support is built around the life they lead rather than around a template. We try to keep the same carers going to the same people. Continuity is not a luxury in home care, it is the mechanism by which somebody starts trusting the person who comes through their door. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to talk about care at home, please contact us and we will arrange to visit and discuss what would help.
