About Romis Care Services
Romis Care provides support in people's own homes across Grays and the Thurrock area. We work with older adults, with younger adults, with people who have a learning disability or who are autistic, with people living with physical disabilities, and with people managing mental health conditions. A good deal of our work is with younger adults, and that shapes how we think. Support for someone in their twenties or thirties is rarely about managing decline. It is about getting to work or college, keeping a flat running, seeing friends, and doing the things that anybody else would be doing at that age. We are there to remove the obstacles, not to take over. For older people we provide the more familiar pattern of help with washing and dressing, medication, meals and keeping the household ticking over, arranged at the times that actually suit rather than the times that suit a rota. We agree everything with the person first, we write it down in language anyone can read, and we change it when circumstances change. Consistency of staff matters to us, so we try hard to keep the same faces going to the same homes. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
