We are Pure Moments, based in Woking, and we provide care in people's own homes across Surrey. We support older people, including many living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and younger adults. Home care stands or falls on reliability, so that is where we put our effort first. Turning up when we said we would. Sending somebody the person already knows. Telling a family promptly if a visit has to change. None of that is glamorous, but it is what people actually notice, and it is what separates support that helps from support that becomes another worry. Every arrangement begins with a conversation in the person's own home. How does the day run now? What has become difficult? What do you still want to do for yourself, and where would a hand genuinely help? From those answers we agree the visits, which might be a single short call, several a day, or a longer stretch so that a relative caring full time can get out of the house properly. For people living with dementia, familiarity does more good than anything else we could offer, so continuity of staff is something we work at rather than mention in passing. We have not yet had an overall rating published by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather say so ourselves, and we welcome close questions about how we recruit, train and supervise our carers.
