About County Care Independent Living
County Care Independent Living supports people in their own homes in Woking and across Surrey. The name says what we are for. Our job is to help somebody keep running their own life, with the support they need and nothing they do not. For older people that usually means help with personal care, medication, meals, the housework and getting out and about, arranged at times that suit the household. For adults with a learning disability and autistic adults it is more often about independence: cooking, shopping, managing money, using local transport, keeping up a job or a course, and having staff who understand how a person communicates. We support adults with mental health needs, where turning up reliably and without judgement is the most useful thing we do, and people with a physical disability, helping with safe moving and with managing at home as independently as possible. Where somebody has sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and make sure nothing is moved without being mentioned. We also support younger adults, fitting around study, work and social life. Support is planned with the person, and with their family where they want that, and reviewed as things change rather than left to go stale. If you are weighing up care at home in this part of Surrey, please ring us and we will explain plainly what we can do.
