Splendour Care is a home care agency based in Staines upon Thames, supporting people in their own homes across this part of Surrey. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have a learning disability, with autistic people, with people who have mental health needs, with people who have physical disabilities and with people who have sight or hearing loss. Needs that varied cannot be met by one standard package, so we plan support one person at a time. We begin by sitting down with the person and anyone they want present, work out what the day and the week actually need to look like, and write the plan around that. It may be a brief daily call, support with personal care, medication, meals and mobility, help with household tasks, or support to get out and keep up work, study or an activity that matters. Plans are reviewed when circumstances change, and we ask clients and families to tell us directly when something is not working. We keep the same small team visiting each person wherever we can, and our carers are trained for the needs of the people they see. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are registered with and regulated by them, and we are putting in place the planning, training and oversight a good rating properly requires.
