We are 3nite Care, a home care agency based in Redhill, Surrey. We support older people and younger adults in their own homes across the surrounding area, including people living with a physical disability. The reason most people come to us is straightforward. Something has made daily life harder than it was, and they would rather have help at home than give the home up. Our job is to make that a realistic choice for as long as possible. Depending on the person that might be a single call in the morning, or several visits spread through the day covering personal care, medication, meals and the practical running of a household. Where someone has a physical disability, the quality of the care is mostly in the detail. Whether there is enough time that a transfer is not rushed. Whether equipment has been set up as it should be. Whether the carer asks the person how they prefer it done, given that they are the one who knows. We try to send the same carers to the same households, and we review arrangements as needs change rather than letting a plan run on past its usefulness. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating.
