About Helping Hands
Helping Hands Godalming provides care and support in people's own homes across Godalming and the surrounding parts of Surrey. Most people would rather stay in their own home, and our job is to make that a safe and realistic choice. We support older people and younger adults. Visits may cover personal care, medication, meals, shopping, laundry and household tasks, and for many people the company matters just as much. We work with people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Support begins with an assessment in the person's own home, where we look at what already works, what has become difficult and what the person actually wants help with. The plan is theirs, and we review it as needs change rather than leaving it fixed. We take real trouble over continuity, keeping the same small team with the same people wherever we can. Carers are trained for the particular needs of those they visit, including communication, moving and handling and medication, and they are properly supervised. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are thinking about care at home, whether for now or for the months ahead, please get in touch. We are glad to visit and talk it through with no obligation.
