About Mother Homecare
Mother Homecare provides care and support in people's own homes in Stoke on Trent and the surrounding area. We are here for people who want to carry on living in their own place and need some help to make that safe and manageable. Most of our work is with older adults. That can mean a short call to help with getting up, washing, dressing and medication, help with meals, shopping and keeping the house in order, or longer visits for people who need closer support and a bit of company through the day. We ask what somebody actually wants rather than handing them a standard package, and we would sooner change an arrangement that has stopped suiting them than leave it running out of habit. We support people living with dementia, where the most useful thing we bring is a familiar person who is not hurrying and who already knows how this individual likes things done. Continuity matters enormously in that work, so we protect it wherever the rota allows. We keep the number of different workers visiting each person as small as we can, because familiar staff notice when something has changed. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Please get in touch with any questions.
