About The Stables
We provide care and support in people's own homes in Burton on Trent and the surrounding parts of Staffordshire. Our visits range from a short call to start the day through to several each day and longer periods of support, agreed with the person rather than handed to them. For older people we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry, shopping and getting out to appointments or to see friends, and we notice the quieter changes and raise them early with the family or the doctor. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting wherever the rota allows, work with the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about in a home somebody knows by heart. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, where the emphasis is independence and communication that suits the person, and people with a physical disability who need help to move safely and manage at home. We also support younger adults, fitting visits around work, study and family life. Our care workers are trained for the people they actually visit, and we keep teams as settled as the rota allows because a familiar face at the door changes how a visit goes. Please ring us if you would like to talk about support at home here.
