About Sportfit
Sportfit provides support to people in their own homes in Southampton and the surrounding area. We work with younger adults, including people with a learning disability, people who are autistic, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Support here exists to serve somebody's own life rather than to run it. We help with the things that get in the way of independent living and step back where help is not needed. That might mean assistance with personal care, medication and meals, help around the home, or support to get out to work, college, activities and the things somebody enjoys. Being active and getting out of the house matters to the people we support, and it is often the first thing that disappears when support is planned badly. We plan around it rather than treating it as an extra. Our staff learn how each person communicates, including those who do not use speech, and we treat distress as something with a cause rather than as behaviour to be contained. Support is agreed with the person, written down plainly and reviewed as circumstances change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to discuss support in the Southampton area, please get in touch.
