Our work is with adults who have learning disabilities and with autistic adults, most of them younger adults building the life they want with support alongside them. Our starting point is always the person. What do you want your week to look like, what already works, where does help make a genuine difference, and where would it simply get in the way. Those questions shape the support plan, and we revisit them as people change their minds, which they are entitled to do. Support might cover everyday things such as cooking, budgeting, shopping, appointments and keeping a home running. It might be about getting to college, work or a club, or about managing the parts of daily life that cause anxiety. For autistic people we pay particular attention to communication, predictability and sensory needs, because getting those right prevents most of the difficulties that would otherwise follow. We work closely with families, social workers and health teams, while keeping the person themselves at the centre of any decision about their own life.
