About Sultan Healthcare
Sultan Healthcare provides care in people's own homes in Taunton and the surrounding parts of Somerset. We visit older people and younger adults, people living with dementia and people whose physical disabilities make daily life harder to manage alone. Our starting point is what somebody wants their day to look like rather than a list of what they can no longer do. From there the support might be a call each morning to help with washing, dressing, medication and breakfast, several visits through the day, help with meals, shopping and housework, or a lift to an appointment. For some households the most valuable thing we provide is a longer visit that gives a family carer a few hours to themselves. We plan our rounds so that the same carers go to the same homes. In a county where distances can be long and where isolation creeps up on people quietly, that continuity matters both practically and personally. We agree what is needed with the person and whoever they want involved, put it in plain writing and change it as circumstances change rather than waiting for a review date. The Care Quality Commission has not yet given us an overall rating. We would rather tell you that openly. In the meantime we are happy to explain how we recruit, train and supervise our staff and to answer any question before you decide.
