About Ash House
Ash House provides care at home for older people in Taunton and the surrounding area. We do one thing and we try to do it properly: reliable, respectful help in the place where somebody already lives, for as much or as little of the day as they need. That can mean a call in the morning to help somebody wash, dress and get the day started safely, support and prompting with medication, a proper meal cooked and eaten rather than left in the fridge, laundry and keeping the home comfortable, or help with the shopping. It can also mean several visits a day, or a call in the evening to settle somebody for the night. Just as often the useful part of a visit is getting out of the house. A trip into town, an appointment kept, or simply some air and a change of scene does more good than most of what we do indoors. We keep the same care workers going to the same households wherever the rota allows.
