About Community Care Advice Centre
Community Care Advice Centre provides care in people's own homes across Ilford and the surrounding parts of Redbridge. We support older people and younger adults with a broad range of needs, including dementia, learning disability and autism, mental health conditions, physical disability, visual or hearing impairment, and eating disorders. Because the people we work with are so different from one another, we do not start with a menu. We start with a conversation. What is hard at the moment? What would you like to keep doing for yourself? Who else is involved? From that we agree a plan, we write it down clearly, and we make sure every carer who visits is working to it. The support itself might be personal care and help with medication, meals and household tasks, or assistance to get out, attend appointments and keep hold of a routine. For some people the most valuable part is simply that someone reliable comes regularly and pays attention. We try to send the same carers to the same people. Continuity builds the trust that makes personal care bearable, and it puts our staff in a position to notice when something has changed and to raise it early. If you would like to discuss care at home for yourself or a relative, we are glad to talk it through with no obligation.
