About i-grow Care and Support

We provide care and support to people in their own homes across Plymouth. Our work covers older people and younger adults, adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, and people with a physical disability or with sight or hearing loss. The purpose of the support we give is to help people build and keep the life they want, in their own home, with as much independence as possible. So we start by asking what somebody wants to be able to do rather than listing what they cannot manage, and we plan from there. In practice that may mean help with personal care, prompting and support with medication, cooking, shopping, laundry and keeping the home in order, help with money and paperwork, or support to get out to work, college, appointments and activities. For many people, the most valuable part is having somebody steady alongside them while skills and confidence grow. Support is agreed with the person, written plainly and reviewed properly. Where somebody becomes more independent we step back rather than carrying on out of habit. Our staff are trained for the needs they support and we keep teams consistent wherever we can. If you or somebody you support would like to discuss care at home in Plymouth, please contact us.
