About Synergy Complex Care

Synergy Complex Care provides care and support in people's own homes across Bristol and North Somerset. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Much of our work involves people whose needs are genuinely complex, and that changes how we staff it. Complex care at home only works when the same small team is trained around one person rather than rotated through many, so we build teams that way and we train specifically rather than generally. Where a person needs support that requires particular skill or particular equipment, we make sure everybody who visits can do it properly, not just the senior member of the team. Beyond that the principles are ordinary. We listen first, agree the arrangement in plain language, and revisit it honestly rather than leaving it in a folder. We keep to what we have agreed. We give notice before anything changes. The work covers personal care, medication, meals, mobility, household jobs, shopping, appointments and company, and for some of the people we support it looks quite different, with somebody alongside them at college, at work or at a group. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection, and we keep asking the people we support whether that still describes us.
