About Turning Point - Northamptonshire
We are the Turning Point team covering Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, providing care and support to people in their own homes and in the community. We work with older people and with younger adults, including adults who have learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Support may cover personal care, help with medication, meals, shopping and household tasks, and it often covers the wider business of running a life as well, from appointments and paperwork to getting out and seeing people. Support is planned with the person rather than for them. We start by asking what somebody wants their week to look like, what they can already manage, where help genuinely makes a difference and where it would simply get in the way. Those answers become the plan, and we change it as people change their minds or their circumstances shift. For autistic people we pay close attention to communication, predictability and sensory needs, because getting those right at the start prevents most of the difficulties that would otherwise follow. We work alongside families, social workers and health colleagues while keeping decisions with the person themselves. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us if you would like to discuss support.
