About Professional Trainings for Saving Lives
We are a home care agency working across Manchester, providing care and support to people in their own homes. We work with older people and people living with dementia, and with younger adults who need support to manage daily life. Training is something we take seriously rather than treat as a box to tick. Carers are prepared for the people they will actually be supporting, particularly where somebody is living with dementia, and we brief them properly before a new call instead of expecting them to work it out at the door. Care at home is only as good as the person who knocks on it. What we provide depends on the household. For some people it is a short call each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication. For others it is support at several points, with meals, mobility, the laundry and the house, or help getting out to appointments, the shops and the people who matter. We agree the plan with the person and anyone they want involved, write it in plain words and review it as needs change. We keep the same carers going into the same homes wherever we can, because familiarity is how changes get noticed early. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.
