About Comforting Care
Comforting Care provides support at home to adults in Pudsey and across Leeds. The people we work with include older people who need help to stay in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who need support to live independently. Supporting that range means there is no standard package. What an older person needs first thing in the morning has very little in common with what an autistic adult running their own household wants from us, and we assess properly, agree the support with the person, and change it when their circumstances change. The practical work covers personal care, support and prompting with medication, meals, household tasks, shopping and help to get out to appointments or into town. Alongside it sits the part that appears on no schedule, which is noticing, and it keeps people out of hospital more often than anything else we do. We aim to send the same small group of carers to each person and to arrive when we said we would, because that reliability is most of what makes home care work. Please get in touch if you are arranging care at home locally.
