We are City Force Health Care, and we provide care and support to people in their own homes across Leeds. Our visits range from a short call to help someone start the day through to several hours of support, and we build the pattern around what the person actually needs rather than around a standard package. We work with older people who want to stay in the house they know, helping with personal care, medication, meals, shopping and the small practical jobs that become difficult over time. We support adults living with dementia, where consistency and patience matter more than anything else. We also support people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss, adapting how we communicate and how we assist so that the person stays in charge of their own day. Some of those we support are younger adults working towards greater independence, and there our role is often to step back as much as to step in. Leeds is a big city and getting to someone on time is part of the job, so we plan our rounds carefully and let people know if we are running late. Our care workers are recruited with proper checks, trained before they work alone, and supported by a manager they can reach. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission.
