The plan comes from that conversation and is revised as things change rather than sitting untouched until a review falls due. What we provide might be a single morning call to get somebody washed, dressed and fed, or several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and keeping a household running. For a good many of the people we visit, the company is the part of the call that matters most, and we count that as part of the work. We keep the same carers going to the same people as far as the rota allows, because familiarity is what makes personal care bearable and what lets a carer notice that somebody is not themselves today.
