Be You Care is a home care agency in Leeds. The name is the point. We are not trying to reshape anybody into an easier version of themselves, and the support we offer is built around who a person already is, what they want their week to look like and what they would rather keep doing without help. We visit older people and younger adults across the city. That includes people living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people living with sight or hearing loss, people living with an eating disorder, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. Some visits are practical, covering personal care, medication, meals and appointments. Others are about routine, encouragement and someone reliable turning up when they said they would. Consistency is what makes home support work. We try hard to send the same small team to the same household, so that nobody has to explain themselves from scratch each morning, and so our staff notice quickly when something is not right. We keep families informed where the person is happy for us to do so. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are inspected and regulated in the same way as every other provider, and we would rather say plainly where we stand than let anyone assume otherwise.
