About Keep Karing Healthcare
Keep Karing Healthcare supports people in their own homes in Nelson and the surrounding parts of Lancashire. We exist so that people can stay where they are settled, keep their own habits and remain part of their own community, with help arriving when it is genuinely useful. Most of our work is with older adults. Depending on what somebody needs, that can be a short visit to help with washing, dressing and medication, help with meals and shopping, or longer calls for people who need closer support and a bit of company through the day. We also support people with physical disabilities, helping with personal care, mobility and getting safely out of the house, and doing so in a way that keeps the person in charge of how things are done. We support younger adults too, whose weeks are usually built around work, study, family or simply having a life of their own, and whose care should fit around those things rather than take them over. We keep the team around each person as small and consistent as we can. Familiar workers notice when something has changed, and most people would rather not start from the beginning with somebody new each week.
