About Home Angels
We are Home Angels Chorley, providing care at home to older people and people living with dementia across the town and the surrounding area. Our focus is deliberately narrow. Supporting older people at home, including many who are living with dementia, is what we know, and keeping to it means our carers become genuinely experienced rather than being asked to cover everything. What we offer is practical and unglamorous, which is rather the point. Help getting up, washed and dressed. Support with medication. Meals prepared properly rather than heated and left. Help moving about safely at home. A hand with laundry, shopping and the small tasks that pile up when somebody cannot manage them any more. Where dementia is part of the picture, consistency matters more than anything else we could offer. A familiar face at a familiar time, an unhurried manner and a carer who knows what steadies a person will do more good than any amount of procedure. That is why we keep the same carers with the same households wherever the rota allows. Everything begins with a visit and a proper conversation, and we adjust the plan as needs change rather than leaving it to drift. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good.
