About Alcedo Care

Alcedo Care Blackpool provides care and support in people's own homes across Blackpool and the surrounding part of Lancashire. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, younger adults, people recovering from an eating disorder, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. A range that wide has taught us not to offer one pattern of support and hope it lands. So we listen first, agree it in plain language, and revisit it honestly instead of filing it away. Where the work is sensitive we go carefully and without judgement. Recovery rarely runs in a straight line, and being dependable on the difficult weeks is most of what we are useful for. We work alongside health teams and specialist services rather than duplicating them. Much of what we do is more everyday: personal care, medication, meals, mobility, household jobs, shopping, appointments and company. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
