We are Clockwork Carers, and we support adults in their own homes in Huddersfield and across Kirklees. The name sets a standard we hold ourselves to, because in care at home turning up when you said you would is not a detail, it is most of the job. We help older people with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and the household jobs that become harder with time. We support adults living with dementia, where familiar faces arriving at predictable times do more good than anything else we can offer. We also support people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss, adapting how we communicate and assist so that the person stays in charge of their own day. Some of those we support are younger adults working towards greater independence. We plan our rounds so that calls arrive at sensible times, we keep the same care workers with the same households as far as the rota allows, and if we are running late we ring rather than leaving somebody watching the window. Our care workers are recruited with full checks and references, trained before working alone and properly supervised. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission.
