About Wellington Care
We are Wellington Care, supporting people in their own homes across Hull. We work with adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, younger adults building independent lives, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use. We take that last group seriously rather than reluctantly. People do not stop deserving decent support because their situation is complicated or because they have been difficult for other providers to work with. We assess carefully and we are honest when we are not the right fit, but we do not turn somebody away simply because their circumstances are untidy. Much of our work is about enabling rather than doing. Where somebody wants to keep a tenancy going, manage their own money, hold down a job or a course, or simply get through the harder stretches without everything unravelling, we work at it with them patiently and at their pace. We recruit for attitude as much as experience. What matters most to the people we support is usually a worker who turns up, listens and does not give up when progress is slow. We work closely with community mental health teams, social workers, GPs and specialist services. Please get in touch to discuss support.
