About Swanton Community Services
We provide support at home for people across Hull, working with older people, adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults, and younger adults who want to live independently with the right help behind them. What we do differs a great deal from person to person. For some it is a short daily visit to help with personal care, medication or meals, enough to keep everything ticking along. For others it is more substantial support with cooking, shopping, managing money, keeping a tenancy going, getting to work or college, and staying in touch with family and professionals. We are as interested in what somebody can manage alone as in what they need help with, and we are careful to leave decisions where they belong. For autistic people we pay particular attention to routine, to clear communication and to giving plenty of notice before anything changes. Support is planned with the person and reviewed as life moves on. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. If you are making a referral, or looking into support for yourself or a relative, please get in touch. We will talk it through honestly and tell you plainly whether we are the right people for the job.
