About Ivy Homecare Services
Ivy Homecare supports people in their own homes across Kensington and Chelsea. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with a physical disability and younger adults. Nearly everyone who contacts us wants to stay in their own home, and our job is to make that realistic rather than to take over. For some people that means one call each morning to help with washing and dressing and getting the day started. For others it means several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and company, or longer sits that give a family carer some time of their own. We spend proper time on the first conversation. We want to know how the day usually runs, what has become hard, and what the person can still manage and would rather we left to them. Support planned that way tends to feel like help rather than intrusion, and it holds up better over time. Continuity of carer takes planning in London, but it is worth the trouble, particularly for people living with dementia. We keep families informed where the person wants that, and we raise anything that worries us early. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us to talk things through.
