About Right at Home &
Right at Home Hillingdon and Uxbridge provides care and support in people's own homes across Uxbridge and the surrounding borough. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and people who have lost some of their sight or hearing. We have built the way we work around two things. The first is longer visits, because a great deal of what matters in home care cannot be done properly in fifteen minutes. The second is consistency of carer, because personal care is an intimate business and it goes far better with somebody the household knows and trusts. The help itself covers washing and dressing, medication, meals and drinks, mobility, getting out to appointments and into the community, household tasks and companionship. For people living with dementia we work with the routines that already exist in the home rather than introducing new ones, and we support families too, since caring for a relative is demanding and frequently isolating. Plans are agreed with the person, written plainly and reviewed when things change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
