About Foundary House
Foundary House provides support at home in Widnes and across the Halton area. We work with adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with mental health needs and younger adults. Our work is mostly about enabling rather than doing. The people we support have their own homes, their own routines and their own plans, and our part is to help make those workable rather than to take charge of them. That might mean support with cooking, shopping and managing money, help getting to work, college or appointments, company on public transport, or someone steady to talk things through with when a week has been difficult. With autistic people in particular we pay close attention to routine, to giving proper warning before anything changes and to the sensory side of somebody's environment, because those details often decide whether a day works. Where we support people with mental health needs, we aim to be the dependable and predictable part of the week, and we work in step with community teams, social workers and families rather than around them. We keep the teams around each person small and settled. Support like this depends on a relationship, and a relationship cannot be built by a different person turning up every time. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking into support at home in Widnes or Runcorn, please get in touch and we will be honest about whether we can help.
