About Right Choice Home Care
Right Choice Home Care supports people in their own homes across Greenwich and the neighbouring parts of south east London. We visit older adults, including many who want to stay in a house they have lived in for decades, and we support younger adults whose needs have nothing to do with age. Among the people we visit are those with a learning disability, autistic people, and people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing. Because of that range we think carefully about communication rather than assuming it will sort itself out. If writing things down works better than saying them, we write them down. If a new face at the door is genuinely distressing, we arrange the rota so it does not happen. If somebody cannot hear the bell, we agree in advance how we will announce ourselves. None of this is complicated, and skipping it is how home care ends up feeling like an intrusion. Our visits cover washing and dressing, medicines, meals, housework, shopping, appointments and company, in whatever mixture is needed, from half an hour to a long stretch of the day. We will also say honestly when what is needed has grown past what can be delivered safely at home. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
