Where somebody has a physical disability, a surprising amount depends on equipment, layout and exact timing, and we help at the point of need rather than instead of the person trying. Where there is sensory loss we think carefully about how information reaches somebody and how we make ourselves understood. Consistency matters enormously, so we keep support teams small, introduce new staff properly, and do not send unfamiliar people at short notice. Our staff are checked, trained and supervised, and we are registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
