About Home Link Care Services

Home Link Care provides support at home for people in and around Hull, and much of our work is with adults living with mental health needs. What we do is straightforward: reliable, respectful help in the place where somebody already lives, for as much or as little of the day as they need. That can mean practical support with cooking, shopping, laundry and keeping the home in order, help to keep on top of appointments and correspondence, or simply having somebody turn up when they said they would and stay long enough to be of real use. Support of this kind depends on consistency. We keep the same staff going to the same households wherever the rota allows, because trust is built over weeks and months and because a familiar face notices when something has shifted. We work alongside local mental health services and doctors rather than in parallel with them, and we take our lead from the person rather than from a list of tasks. Plans are made with the person, and reviewed as things change. Nobody is judged and nobody is rushed, and where somebody is working towards managing more for themselves we support that properly.
