About Supported Housing

We provide supported living help to adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults in Beverley and the surrounding part of the East Riding, in their own homes. We have kept our focus deliberately narrow. Supporting people with a learning disability or autism to live in their own home is what we do, and we would rather do that thoroughly than spread ourselves across every kind of provision. The point of it is not to take charge of somebody's life but to make the life they want workable. So we begin with what a person wants their week to look like and work back to the support that would make it possible. In practice that might mean help with personal care, medication, cooking, shopping, managing money and appointments, or support to get to work, college, a gym or a regular group. Communication is central: how somebody prefers to be given information, and how they let us know what they want, is the basis of everything else. Where change is difficult, we keep to a predictable routine and prepare properly for anything out of the ordinary. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about support.
