About Helping Hands
Helping Hands Stourbridge supports people across Stourbridge and the surrounding area in their own homes. We plan support around the way somebody already lives rather than around a standard package, and we keep the same carers visiting the same people wherever the rota allows. We support older people with the everyday tasks that have become harder, and people living with dementia, where a familiar face and an unhurried pace matter more than anything written in a plan. We work with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, people living with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss, as well as younger adults, whose priorities are usually about getting on with ordinary life. Continuity is what makes home care work. A carer who knows somebody well notices the untouched meal or the unsteady walk that turns out to be the first sign of a problem, and that is how trouble gets headed off early. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We regard that as the standard to keep rather than something to advertise. If you are considering care at home in this area, ring us and we will give you a straight answer.
