About Amicable Care

Amicable Care provides care at home for people in Carlisle and the surrounding parts of Cumberland. We help with as much or as little as somebody needs, from a short call each day to several visits, and we build the arrangement around the household rather than asking the household to work around us. Most of our work is with older people. We help with washing and dressing, prompting and support with medication, meals and drinks, laundry, shopping and keeping the home comfortable. We also help people get out of the house, to an appointment, to the shops or simply for some air, and we make time for the conversation that goes with it. We also support younger adults, fitting visits around work, study and family life.
