About Southbridge House
Southbridge House supports people across Croydon in their own homes. We arrange visits around the routines somebody already has rather than asking them to fit around our rota, and we aim to keep the same carers going to the same people. We support older people who need help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and getting out safely. We work with adults managing mental health conditions, where reliability and being genuinely listened to matter as much as any practical task, and with people living with a physical disability, where good support is largely about making daily life workable again. We also support younger adults, whose priorities are usually about getting on with ordinary life rather than being kept safe indoors. Continuity matters more than anything else we could promise. When a carer knows somebody well, they notice the change in appetite or mood that turns out to be the first sign of a problem, and that is how difficulties get headed off early. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so plainly. Until then, judge us on whether visits happen as agreed, whether we ring when something has to change and whether we give you honest answers when you ask.
