Affordable Care At Home supports adults in their own homes in Winsford and the surrounding parts of Cheshire. The point of what we do is that people should be able to stay where they want to be. For most of the households we visit that means practical help at the right moments of the day. Getting up, washed and dressed comfortably. Medication taken properly and on time. A meal that somebody will actually eat. Shopping, laundry and the paperwork that becomes harder to keep on top of. Getting out to an appointment or into town. We plan our rounds so that the same carers go to the same homes, because a familiar carer knows what normal looks like for that person and notices quickly when it changes. That is very often what stops a small problem from becoming a hospital admission. We agree the plan with the person and with whoever they want involved, write it down in plain language and change it whenever things change. The Care Quality Commission has not yet given us an overall rating, and we would rather tell you that openly. We are glad to explain how we recruit, train and supervise our staff, and to put you in touch with families we already support.
