About Jane Care
Jane Care provides support to people in their own homes in Ellesmere Port and the surrounding parts of Cheshire. We visit older people and younger adults who need some help to manage day to day, and our purpose is to make staying at home a genuine and safe option for as long as somebody wants it. We are a local team and we work in a way that reflects that. We know the area, the surgeries and the community teams, and we plan our rounds so that visits happen when they are supposed to. Reliability sounds like a modest promise but it is the one that matters most to the people waiting for us. The support we give is built around the individual. It may be help to get up, wash and dress in the morning, prompting or assistance with medication, preparing meals and drinks, keeping on top of laundry and housework, help to move safely around the home, or support to get out to the shops and to appointments. For many of the people we visit, the conversation and company are as valuable as the practical tasks, and we do not treat that as something to be squeezed in if time allows. We agree the plan with the person at the start, put it in writing and review it as needs change. Our carers are trained and properly supervised and we keep the same faces visiting the same people.
