About The Link
We are The Chester Link, a home care agency in Chester. We support older people in their own homes, including people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and people managing a mental health condition. Care at home is not care delivered in a smaller building. It happens in somebody else's space, on their terms, and we are there by invitation. That shapes the practical side of how we work: asking before we move anything, putting it back where it belongs, and fitting the visit around the household rather than expecting the household to work around us. For people living with dementia, continuity is a condition of the work rather than a preference. A familiar carer makes a visit possible where an unfamiliar one, however skilled, may not. For autistic people and adults with learning disabilities, predictability matters just as much: saying what will happen and when, and then being right about it. We keep families informed, work alongside other professionals involved, and review arrangements as needs change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
