Sisters For Life Healthcare provides care at home for people across Cheshire West and Chester. We support people in the place they know best, with as much or as little help as they need, from a single call each morning to several visits a day. Most of our work is with older people. We help with washing and dressing, medication, meals and drinks, laundry, shopping and keeping the home comfortable, and we help people get out of the house, which is often the first thing to slip and one of the most important to protect. We also notice the quieter changes, a fading appetite or somebody less steady than they were, and we raise them early with the family or the doctor. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers going into the same homes wherever the rota allows, work with the routine that already exists and avoid moving things about. For people with a physical disability we help with safe moving and with managing day to day as independently as possible, and where somebody has sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and always say who we are and what we are doing. We also support younger adults, around their own commitments rather than our rota. Our care workers are trained for the people they visit.
