About Identity Quality Care
Identity Quality Care supports people in their own homes across Dunstable and the wider Central Bedfordshire area. We work mainly with younger adults, with people who have learning disabilities and with autistic people. Home care done properly is about the person staying in charge. It is their house, their routine and their decision how support happens, and our job is to fit around that rather than the other way round. We agree with each person, and with their family or advocate if they want them involved, exactly what support looks like, when it happens and who provides it. We keep our care teams small and consistent. Being supported by a familiar face is not a luxury, particularly for autistic people and for anyone who finds new people difficult, so we introduce staff properly before they start working with someone and we avoid last minute substitutions wherever we can. Support can cover personal care, medication, meals, getting out to college, work, appointments or social activities, help with money and correspondence, and simply having company. As things change we revisit the plan rather than carrying on with something that no longer fits. We are honest about what we can and cannot do. If someone needs something we are not the right provider for, we will say so and help them find who is. If you are looking for support in or around Dunstable, please get in touch and we will arrange a visit.
