About Availl
Availl in Huntingdon provides care and support to people in their own homes across Huntingdon and the surrounding parts of Cambridgeshire. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have mental health needs, physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, with younger adults and with people affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Every package is planned individually. We visit first, talk it through with the person and anyone they want present, agree in plain language what help is needed and what they want to get from it, then review it as circumstances change. A visit might mean personal care and medication, help with meals, shopping and the house, or support to get out to appointments, work or the places that keep somebody connected. For younger adults and for people with a learning disability, the work is often about making independent living practical rather than about personal care. Covering town and countryside means being realistic about travel, so we plan rounds carefully, arrive when we said we would and ring if we are held up. Keeping the same carers going into the same homes is something we work at properly. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
